Roblox: Gift card currency must match account location
Roblox made some changes in 2023. Since then you can only redeem a Gift Card that is denominated in the same currency as the country where your account is registered. In other words, you cannot redeem a Gift Card, which is denominated in United States Dollars, to a Roblox account that is denominated in another currency, such as Euros.
A few customer have experienced a mismatch between country and currency in their Roblox account. In other cases, Roblox has set customers' accounts to an incorrect country. In these cases, you need to contact Roblox support on https://www.roblox.com/support as you cannot make changes to your country settings yourself.
To find out in which your Roblox account is registered follow these steps:
- From the Roblox App’s home screen, click the 3 dots in the bottom right corner
- Click ⇒ Settings and then ⇒ Account Info
- Scroll down to see the country where your account is registered
To find out if the currency is set correctly, follow these steps:
- From the Roblox App’s home screen, click the Robux icon in the top right corner
- See the currency in which Robux are offered
